Remitters or those who send remittances through BDO Kabayan Savings, who are 18-65 years old and currently employed, may qualify for the Free Life and Accident Insurance.
How to Enroll in BDO Kabayan Free Insurance Program?
1. Enroll your BDO Kabayan Savings Account in Free Life and Accident Insurance if the account is under the name of the remitter or the remitter’s spouse, child, parent or sibling.
To do this, fill out the Enrollment Form. First, tick the box after your read the mechanics. Then enter the required info on the form. Review the details, enter the captcha, and click Submit.
2. Each enrolled BDO Kabayan Savings Account must meet the following requirements in the last 12 months:
- At least 6 remittance transactions
- Average Daily Balance (ADB) of at least P25,000 (maintained in your account). This is easy to maintain when you save through your BDO Kabayan Savings Account
3. The enrolled remitter is covered by insurance for every month above requirements are met.
4. The insured amount is 50% of ADB plus 50% of total remittances in the last 12 months not exceeding PHP1M per enrolled remitter.

How to Open BDO Kabayan Savings Account
1. Prepare your requirements:
- 1 Valid ID
- 1×1 photo
- Initial Deposit: P100 (for PHP account) or US$100 (for USD account)
2. Visit the nearest BDO branch from your address. Inform the bank officer that you will open a BDO Kabayan Savings Account.
3. Fill out the BDO Kabayan Account Opening form and submit the requirements and initial deposit.
4. Once your application is approved, you might be able to get your passbook and ATM within the same day. In some cases, the ATM card will be issued on a later date and you’ll have to go back to the bank to pick it up.
