How to Get NBI Clearance Online

My husband was supposed to get a new NBI Clearance today at the NBI Branch near us, but he was told that he needs to make an appointment online first.

It’s our first time to do this, so we wrote down the steps and we even took screenshots so that we can share this article to everyone.

We divided the steps into 5 phases to make it easier to follow as there were a lot of steps along the way.


PHASE 1 – NBI Clearance Online Account Registration / Login

  1. Visit
  2. Click SIGN UP NOW.
  3. Choose Application Type: NEW or RENEW.

For NEW APPLICANTS, you will need to fill out the NBI Clearance online form with your personal info.



For RENEWAL, it is applicable only on 2014-2015 NBI Clearances and you will need to enter your NBI ID Number, which you can find from your old NBI clearance.


Once your NBI ID number is validated, your personal info will automatically appear on the NBI Clearance online form, and you will only need to enter your email address and password for your NBI Online account.

Click the box for the Terms of Service to accept it and click SIGN IN.  


  1. Sign in by entering your email address and password.

You should be able to see your personal information once you’ve successfully logged in.


PHASE 2 – NBI Clearance Application

  1. Click Apply for Clearance.
  2. Enter the Type of Valid ID and ID number that you will present for verification, then click I Agree.
  3. Choose the Language: English or Filipino.
  4. Select how you would like to get your NBI Clearance: PICKUP or DELIVERY
  5. Select the NBI Branch
  6. Choose and click an available schedule or date in the calendar. Choose AM or PM



  1. For Purpose, choose whether it’s for ABROAD or LOCAL.
  2. Purpose Detail, select the appropriate option in the drop down menu.

Example: NSO Requirement

  1. Check all the details to make sure everything is correct.
  2. To complete the transaction, you will need to choose payment option.

PHASE 3 – NBI Clearance Online Payment

  1. Choose any of the following payment options:
    1. Banks – Over the Counter
    2. Banks – Online
    3. Mobile Payment
    4. Bayad Center



  1. Payment Confirmation Reminders will pop up on the screen. Read through it and click Proceed.



  1. Double check the Transaction Summary and click Proceed to Payment.
  2. Select a Payment Option from the drop down menu and click Select.



  1. Your Reference Number will be displayed on the screen with a link to the payment instructions.

These instructions will also be sent to your email for your reference.

This is how it looks like…




  1. Login to your BDO Online Account.
  • If you don’t have BDO Online Banking account yet, you will need to register first. Click here to read the The Ultimate Guide to BDO Online Banking
  • If you have BDO Online banking account, but you haven’t enrolled Dragonpay yet as third party account, you will have to enroll it first and have it activated at the ATM machine.
  • You can also use the Send Money to Unenrolled Account option in your BDO Online banking account. I suggest you choose this option to make your transaction faster and easier.


  1. Click Transfer Money
  • Under Transfer From, choose your account number that you want to use for this transaction.
  • Under Transfer Money To, choose:

Dragonpay Current Account 001678005430

  • Enter the Amount: Php 140
  • Remarks: Enter the Reference Number that was shown on the screen or sent to your email from Dragonpay.
  • Click Submit



  1. Validate your Fund Transfer or Payment by clicking the link that was shown on the screen or sent to your email from Dragonpay. You may have to wait for 5 minutes before it’s successfully validated.



  1. Login to your NBI Clearance Online Account to check the status of your NBI Clearance application. Please read the last phase for more details.


PHASE 5 – NBI Clearance Online Appointment Transaction

  1. Go back to and login.
  2. Click Transactions to see the status of your application, whether it’s PENDING or PAID.
  3. Take note of your REFERENCE NUMBER and give it when you go to the NBI Branch.

You may also take a photo of it or print the form, but it’s not really necessary.



The next step after this is to personally visit the NBI branch that you’ve chosen when you applied online and follow the instructions onsite.
